Introducing eBurn: The First Electric Bong and Electric Pipe That Burn Real Flower

Ten years ago we electrified the dab straw and the electronic nectar collector became a category. Today we're doing the same thing to the bowl.

Meet eBurn — a new category of smoking device we're launching with two products: the Nova electric bong ($149.99 MSRP) and the Ember electric pipe ($49.99 MSRP). Both are open for pre-order right now, and both ship on or before October 15, 2026.

What eBurn is — and what it isn't

eBurn is not vaporization. We know that distinction better than most, because we make vaporizers — the Aster is right there in our lineup, and it's good at what it does. A dry herb vaporizer heats flower below the point of combustion and delivers vapor.

An eBurn device does the opposite: an electric heating element takes your bowl past combustion. It burns. You get real smoke, with the flavor and the feel of real smoke, because that's literally what it is. The only thing missing is the flame — no lighter, no torch, no butane, nothing to refill or lose or shield from the wind. And no lighter means no butane anywhere near your bowl: the hit is flower, not lighter gas.

If you've tried a dry herb vape and quietly gone back to your bowl, you are exactly who this category is for.

Nova: the electric bong — $149.99

The Nova is a real water pipe with the flame engineered out. Under a removable 50mm glass tube sits a true water chamber and percolator; under that, a powered base with a 2000mAh battery and an electric combustion chamber. Load the bowl, press the button, and the heating element climbs to combustion temperature in seconds — the whole bowl ignites evenly, every press.

  • True water filtration through a percolator, like the bong you already know
  • Built-in ash catcher and a clean-out port — maintenance designed in
  • Interchangeable top fits a standard 50mm tube
  • 2000mAh battery, USB-C charging
  • Black or green, with an LED status ring around the base

Ember: the electric pipe — $49.99

The Ember is the pocket version of the same idea: 111mm tall and 41mm wide in anodized aluminium, about 105 grams, with a 600mAh battery, USB-C charging, and a five-bar battery indicator. Because there's no flame, there is nothing for wind to blow out — which is the entire point on a boat, a trailhead, a chairlift, or a windy beach. The sealed body shrugs off rain and spray, too.

  • One button, real smoke — no priming, no warm-up, no lighter technique
  • Windproof by design: no flame means nothing to extinguish
  • 600mAh battery, USB-C, five-bar charge indicator
  • Pocket-sized: roughly a key-fob footprint, shorter than your phone
  • Black or blue

How the pre-order works

Plainly, because pre-orders deserve plain terms: your card is charged at checkout and your unit is reserved from the first production run. We ship on or before October 15, 2026. If we can't make that date, we'll email you before it arrives with the choice to keep waiting or take a full refund — and you can cancel for a full refund at any time before your order ships. The full terms are on one page, in plain English: eBurn pre-order terms.

Full price, full transparency: $149.99 and $49.99 are the real prices. There's no pre-order discount, and early buyers won't watch the price drop the week after they commit.

Why we built this

Every smoking device we've ever made started from the same irritation: the tools people actually use haven't changed in decades, and the "upgrades" keep asking people to give up the experience they wanted in the first place. Vapor instead of smoke. Batteries that die mid-session. Torches on a windy porch.

The bowl deserved better than a lighter. The eBurn category — electric ignition, true combustion — is our answer, and we think it's the biggest thing we've done since the original Dipper. If you want the deeper background on the category itself, the independent hub at electronicbong.com covers electric combustion in depth, and the device maker's site at eburndevices.com has the full hardware story.
