Quick Start Guide
Step 1 — Charge the Device
Connect the included USB-C cable to the charging port and any standard wall adapter, laptop, or power bank. The five-bar battery indicator shows your charge level, so you always know how much is left before you head out. Fully charge before first use.
Step 2 — Pack the Chamber
Grind your dry herb and pack the heating chamber. Don't overpack — a loose pack lets air flow through for an even burn. Ember ships empty; you supply the herb.
Step 3 — Press and Smoke
Press the ignition button and the electric element climbs to combustion temperature on the press — no priming, no warm-up cycle, no lighter technique. The built-in ignition light lets you see the element working, so you know the bowl is lighting even in the dark. Inhale while the element is engaged, release when you're done.
After Each Session
Let the device cool, then tap out the spent herb and clear the chamber with the included cleaning tool. Regular clearing keeps airflow strong and flavor clean.

Ember FAQ
Is Ember a vaporizer?
No. Ember is a true-combustion electric pipe: it burns dry herb and produces real smoke. Vaporizers produce vapor — a different experience entirely. If you actually want vapor, the Aster dry herb vaporizer is the right device.
Do I need a lighter or torch?
Never. The rechargeable electric element is the only heat source.
Does it really work in the wind?
Yes. There is no flame to blow out. The element is powered and sealed inside the body, so a breeze has nothing to interrupt — that's why it works on a boat, a ridgeline, a chairlift, or a beach where a lighter simply doesn't.
Can I get it wet?
The sealed anodized body resists rain, spray, and splashes, and there's no fuel reservoir to flood. It is not submersible and doesn't carry an IP rating — don't drop it in the lake.
How do I check the battery?
The five-bar indicator on the body shows the remaining charge at a glance. Recharge over USB-C when you're down to a bar.
Why electric ignition instead of a flame?
Electric heat does the same thing on every press, so you stop torching one side of the bowl and wasting the rest. Even, repeatable ignition — plus no butane taste and nothing to refill.
How to Clean Your Ember
- Make sure the device is off and fully cool before cleaning.
- Clear the heating chamber regularly with the included cleaning tool — after each session is ideal, and every few sessions at minimum.
- Wipe the body down with a dry or barely damp cloth.
- For stubborn residue in the chamber, use a cotton swab lightly dampened with 99% isopropyl alcohol, then let it dry completely before use.
- Never submerge the device or run it under water.
Troubleshooting
The device won't fire
Check the five-bar battery indicator — if it's empty, charge for 30+ minutes and retry. If the battery has charge, clear the chamber with the cleaning tool: heavy buildup around the element can block ignition.
Weak or uneven burn
Repack the chamber more loosely and make sure the herb is ground to an even consistency. A clogged chamber also chokes airflow — clean it out and try again.
The device won't charge
Try a different USB-C cable and wall adapter. Check the charging port for debris and clear it gently with a dry swab. Do not charge in your car.
Safety & Care
- For adults 21+ only. Keep away from children and pets at all times.
- The heating chamber gets hot in use — don't touch it directly, and let the device cool before clearing or pocketing it.
- Use only the included USB-C cable with a standard adapter. Do not overcharge or charge unattended overnight.
- Do not drop, crush, puncture, incinerate, or attempt to repair/modify the device.
- Not submersible — keep it out of standing water.
